The National D-Day Museum is at the corner of "Andrew Higgins Drive" and Magazine St. as Howard Ave. from Lee Circle to the river has been renamed to honor Andrew Higgins. |
On May 4, 2000 a bill (H.R. 4384) was introduced authorizing Congress to award gold medals to the family of Andrew Jackson Higgins and the wartime employees of Higgins Industries, in recognition of their contributions to the Nation and to the Allied victory in World War II.
